Trinity Q3 roundup

Hello again. Another quarter of 2024 has come and gone, and it’s now my time to update you all on the progress made by the team at Trinity Space Technologies.

Q3 2024 has been the most important, transformative, and financially successful quarter in the business’ short life. We reached several important business milestones, attended a number of impactful networking events across the UK, and made progress in further refining our plan that we believe will allow us to deliver on our mission statement of advancing human capabilities through space applications.

July

July started with the UKSA Acceler8 event hosted by Marks & Clerk, a fantastic opportunity to understand the requirements and key success factors from the perspective of some of the world’s foremost space venture capital firms.

Myself and my co-founder, Tom Love, attended the Farnborough International Airshow in July and had another opportunity to meet with key global players in the aerospace, commercial space and defence segments, expand our network, and provide Trinity with more publicity through being associated with such an important global event.

Meetings in July with Trinity’s business advisors, Geoff Baker and Dr. Chris Hobbs, allowed us to make incredible progress in defining the business’ characteristics, further solidifying the business structure and making sure all stakeholders are aligned in how they can contribute to Trinity’s success moving forward.

August

August saw the opportunity to open a dialogue with a number of innovative, fast-paced and well-funded scale-up companies. As a business, one objective is to expand into the European market, this is a continual process bolstered by our increasing presence online and within the UK and Europe’s commercial space ecosystems.

Myself and Tom spent much of the month of August working on our prospective SPIN placements; an internship program supported and funded by the UK Space Agency. I worked for Tremap, a startup focused on using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technology for green space management. I delivered a comprehensive, end-to-end sales system designed to increase the business’ revenue by more than 100% over current levels in the next 2 years.

Tom, meanwhile, worked for Space South Central and produced a report detailing the opportunities for the space industry to reach out to adjacent industries and produce a roadmap to educate and enable these companies to either adopt space assets and capabilities into their business, or to expand into the space segment and explore the opportunities for new revenue sources, as well as knowledge and technology transfer partnerships.

September

Tom and I spent much of September working to learn more about the requirements of medium and large consultancy firms and aerospace primes in order to develop our understanding of these key industry players.

September was also filled with a multitude of great networking opportunities. We attended Space Comm Glasgow, the SPIN Satuccino at Harwell, Orbit South Central at the University of Surrey, the Westcott Showcase, and a number of other insightful and valuable events that gave us a further opportunity to expand our network and interact with the stakeholder groups associated with the commercial space industry.

Looking ahead to Q4 and rounding out the calendar year, a number of great events, business milestones and opportunities lie ahead of us as we continue to grow our technical and commercial offering, solidifying our #DeltaRL value proposition and working towards our mission statement.

Watch this space, there’s more to come…
